The Real Problem

The system wasn't
built for your son.

  • Team practice moves at the pace of the worst player. Your son's mechanics don't get fixed. They get managed.
  • Combine camps test athletes. They don't develop them. Your son leaves with a number and no idea what caused it.
  • Generic speed programs build average athletes. If every drill is the same for every kid, none of them are actually being addressed.
  • Coaches manage rosters. They don't develop individuals. Your son is one of forty. His window is narrowing.
GotBetterNYC builds the one athlete in front of us.
We laser-time your son on Day 1. We identify the exact mechanical problem losing him speed. We build a drill sequence around his position and his movement pattern — not a generic template.

By Session 8, we laser-time him again. The improvement is documented. The result card is in your hand. The laser doesn't guess.

The Process

Three phases.
One documented result.

Session 1 — Baseline

Laser-timed. Analyzed. Documented.

Your son runs a laser-timed 10-yard dash. We identify the specific mechanical issue — first-step force, quad-dominance, arm drive — and hand your son a printed result card before he leaves Session 1.

Sessions 2–7 — Build

Position-specific. Biomechanics-first.

Six sessions built around your son's movement pattern, his position, and the problem we found on Day 1. Mid-point parent check-in at Session 4 — you know exactly what's changing and why.

Session 8 — Proof

Laser-timed again. Result in hand.

Same laser. Same assessment. The before and after are printed on a branded card your son takes home. If we can't show a documented improvement, the next 4 sessions are on us.

🎯
The Laser Doesn't Lie.

"If your athlete completes all 8 sessions and we cannot show you a documented improvement in their laser-timed first-step acceleration, I will give you 4 additional sessions at no charge. I have never had to honor this. The laser doesn't guess. It measures. And the measurement speaks for itself."

Who Coaches Your Son

Built for the athlete
the system overlooked.

Che Goddard walked on at two Division II programs. He never played a down. He was a special teams captain, a scout team captain — the guy who made everyone else better, invisibly. He was never given the reps, never given the recruitment calls, never given the machine that built the athletes next to him.

He built GotBetterNYC for the 18-year-old version of himself. Every athlete who trains with GotBetterNYC is the athlete he would have paid anything to have a coach like — in those years, in those moments, when it still mattered.

This is not a training service. It is a validation engine for an athlete's pre-existing identity: "I belong here. I am capable. I just haven't been built yet."

Che coaches Iowa youth football athletes in the Cedar Rapids area with documented, laser-timed results from day one. Prior work includes the Brooklyn Chiefs, Bronx Wolfpack, Tri-State Grizzlies, and NY Lions organizations.

Common Questions

What Iowa parents ask
before they book.

My son already goes to team practice. Why does he need this?
Team practice moves at the pace of the worst player on the roster. Your son's individual mechanics are never specifically addressed. GotBetterNYC is 1-on-1 development built around your son's exact position and the specific problem losing him speed — something team practice cannot provide.
How is this different from a combine camp or skills camp?
Camps test athletes. We develop them. Your son leaves a camp with a number and no explanation. He leaves GotBetterNYC with a documented before/after result and a specific understanding of what changed in his mechanics and why.
How soon will we see results?
Your son is laser-timed at Session 1. That is his documented baseline. Many athletes show measurable improvement by Session 3 or 4. By Session 8, the laser-timed result card documents the full improvement. You have a number in your hand — not a feeling.
What if it doesn't work?
If your son completes all 8 sessions and we cannot show a documented improvement in his laser-timed first-step acceleration, Che gives you 4 additional sessions at no charge. The guarantee exists because the system works. In every documented case, it has.
What positions do you work with?
Running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, and defensive backs — positions where first-step speed and acceleration mechanics have the most direct impact on playing time and performance at the youth level.
My son is 12. Is he old enough?
Yes. Ages 12–16 is the exact window where biomechanics-first development has the greatest impact. Movement patterns are still forming. A mechanical correction at 12 builds the foundation for the next six years of athletic development.
